Former Livingston defender Callum Fordyce has joined team-mate Jason Talbot in signing for League One outfit, Dunfermline.
The 22-year-old defender made 44 appearances in all competitions as the Lions preserved their Championship status on the final day of the season and won the Petrofac Training Cup in April with a 4-0 thrashing of Alloa at McDiarmid Park – Fordyce scoring that day with Livi’s second just after the hour mark. However, the former Livingston youth player, who was out of contract, has decided to join new boss Allan Johnston at East End Park.
With Livingston manager Mark Burchill unable to register players ahead of the new season, an SFA transfer embargo still in place as punishment for former shareholder Neil Rankine breaching dual ownership rules, Fordyce has decided to take matters into his own hands. “I’m delighted to have signed for Dunfermline and looking forward to a massive season ahead,” Fordyce said about his move.
