Livingston’s reward for last night’s 4-1 demolition of Hearts in the Petrofac Training Cup is a journey north to face Peterhead in the quarter-finals.

John McGlynn’s men will make the 161-mile trek to take on the League One outfit at Balmoor on Saturday, September 6.

Goals from Jordan White (2), Myles Hippolyte and David Robertson secured Livi’s passage into the last eight as they brushed aside a youthful and inexperienced Hearts side at the Energy Assets Arena.

Jim McInally’s Peterhead have beaten Montrose and Brechin City en route to the quarters and have yet to concede a goal in the competition.

Elsewhere in the draw, East Fife will hope to pull off a huge upset when they welcome Rangers to Bayview with Ally McCoist’s men determined to make amends for last season’s loss to Raith Rovers in the final at Easter Road.

Recently-relegated Morton will renew rivalries with their old Championship rivals Alloa Athletic at Cappielow while Falkirk will travel to Stair Park to play Stranraer.

Petrofac Training Cup quarter-final draw: Morton v Alloa Athletic; Stranraer v Falkirk; East Fife v Rangers; Peterhead v Livingston. Ties due to be played on Saturday, September 6.
