David Hopkin’s team will, perhaps fittingly, return to Meadowbank on Wednesday, July 20. They played the last Scottish League fixture there more than twenty years ago – against Arbroath in October 1995 – before their move to West Lothian. They had played at the stadium as works team Ferranti Thistle and were renamed Meadowbank Thistle after admission to the league in 1974.

City will head to Somerset Park on Saturday, July 23 to face Ayr United in their second fixture. Premiership Hamilton Accies are the other visitors to Meadowbank on Wednesday, July 27. Gary Jardine’s team conclude their Group G fixtures at the Paisley 2021 Stadium against St Mirren on Saturday, July 30.
