Livingston have been hit by a court order to pay former chairman Gordon McDougall £13,000 in arrears owed to him from the past six months.

The club’s new owners refused to pay back a proportion of the six-figure loan McDouglall invested in the club in 2009.

A document, signed in 2013 by former majority shareholder Neil Rankine, and interim chairman Robert Wilson, pledged to pay McDougall £2,166.67 every month from January last year until December 2023.

However, McDougall, who was ousted from his position last month, felt he had no other option but to undertake legal proceedings against his former employer in an attempt to reclaim the payments owed.
