CHAMPIONS Edinburgh City go into this weekend’s SPFL play-off first-leg clash at home to Brora Rangers on the back of a comfortable 5-1 win at Selkirk in their final Lowland League fixture.
The visitors took the lead in 14 minutes when Ortega Deniran drove home from 15 yards. In 19 minutes Dougie Gair made it two from close range. Selkirk pulled one back four minutes later as a trialist scored with a diving header. City got a third in 54 minutes when Newman and Battle collided in the box, leaving Ross Allum free to walk the ball into the net. Gair converted from the edge of the box on 66 minutes and, three minutes later, Allum, collected a ball and squared it for John Dunn to score with a low shot from ten yards.
