Edinburgh City travel west for their Lowland League clash against BSC Glasgow tomorrow with manager Gary Jardine anticipating a difficult day at Lochburn Park.
The league leaders won 3-0 against Iain King’s side at Meadowbank a fortnight ago, a game switched to the Capital to ensure it went ahead following issues with their opponents’ pitch.
Jardine expects a testing return fixture. He said: “To be fair, the 3-0 game was a tough game. I expect it to be more difficult with BSC on their home patch. Their season has been stop-start as well as ours but we’ve had more regular games recently. I think the scoreline of the previous game will give them something to try and make amends for.”
A man in form ahead of this one is City striker Nico Gibson. He has three goals in his last two games and his manager is delighted to have him fit again and scoring.
“It’s good to have Nico back,” said Jardine. “He’s been at the club for three seasons now and he’s spent a fair whack of that injured and when he has played it’s been mainly left back. This season he’s played in his natural position.”
