Leith Athletic moved six points clear at the top of the East of Scotland League after they battered Tynecastle 9-1 at Meadowbank 3G.
Ironically, Tynecastle took the lead on 15 minutes through Stewart O’Neill, but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
Scott Wilson made sure Leith went in level at the break with an equaliser right on the stroke of half-time before they went on a 45-minute rampage. James Hainey netted a double, while there were goals for Kyle Fee, Sean Melvin, John Ferguson, Gavin Kneeshaw, Lewis Martin and Kerr Allan in a wretched second period for Tynie, who had Martin Robertson sent off.
Spartans EOS remain in second spot after a 4-1 win over Peebles Rovers at Whitestone Park. Ian Thomson, Robbie Ross, Keith Boyes and Sean Stewart were the goalscorers.
Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale were 2-1 victors over Coldstream at Saughton, although it took a late Scott Gormley strike to secure the points.
Heriot-Watt University were 4-0 winners over Burntisland Shipyard, with Chris Donnelly netting a hat-trick to take his tally to 19 goals for the season.
Ormiston came from behind twice to defeat Eyemouth 4-3 despite losing goalkeeper Derek Robertson to a red card, with midfielder Ross Ferguson putting on the gloves for 80 minutes.
Johnny Edmond, Andy Jones, Michael Osbourne and a late Eyemouth own goal secured the points.
Civil Service Strollers won 3-2 at Stirling University, with an Ian Ballantyne brace and a Kyle Boggie strike earning the win for Alex Cunningham’s side.
Craigroyston lost 4-3 at Duns, with Ewan McIntosh netting a double for Craigie alongside a Keith Buckley goal.
