Whitehill Welfare visit Peffermill to face Edinburgh University tomorrow and top scorer Aaron Somerville has the Lowland League golden boot in his sights.

The striker netted his 32nd of the season on Wednesday night in a 2-0 win over Selkirk and is now five goals ahead of closest rival Joao Victoria of East Kilbride. EK currently occupy second spot in the league table, with Mickey Lawson’s men just two points behind in fourth, although EK have played one game fewer. Darren McGlashan is available again following suspension, having received a straight red during last Saturday’s South Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Civil Service, although Andy Martin is unlikely to feature after injuring his hamstring.

At The Pennypit, manager Willie Kirk is back in the dugout for Preston Athletic v Selkirk after being away on SFA business. The Panners are unlikely to catch the Yarrow Park club in the table, being six points behind and having played two games more, but a win would open up a seven-point gap on bottom placed Threave Rovers, who have failed to win in their last ten Lowland League games.
