Grant aims to keep up good work at Hearts Ladies

NEW Hearts Ladies head coach Grant Scott believes he is ready to lead the club into a new era.

Scott has accepted the promotion from assistant after Kevin Milne stepped down to take on a role with the Scottish FA.

The new boss said: “When the call came asking me to take over, it was a bolt from the blue, but I had no reservations about taking it on. It’s a natural progression for me as I’ve been Kevin’s assistant for about a year and I learned a lot from him.

“I have my own ideas and may make little tweaks but the reason that Kevin and I worked so well was because we shared the same ethos about how the game should be played.”

Scott’s first game in charge of the Jambos is arguably the biggest fixture in the team’s short history when they take on city rivals Hibs Ladies on Sunday at Kings Park, Dalkeith (2pm).
