HIBS LADIES manager Chris Roberts praised his ‘fantastic’ side after they thrashed Rangers 9-0 at New Tinto Park.

Lizzie Arnot (3), Abi Harrison (2), Heather Richards (2), Lisa Robertson and Chloe Arthur were on target for the rampant Hibees, who swept aside their top-six rivals with ease.

Roberts said: “It’s a great result and for the first time in a long time everything just seemed to click for us.”

Meanwhile, Spartans lost a five-goal thriller with Celtic at Ainslie Park. The home side had fallen two goals behind only to fight back through goals from Michelle Russell and Alana Marshall,

However, Celtic won it with a late strike.

Manager Debbi McCulloch said: “That’s been the story of our season as we’ve been really unlucky so many times.”

Elsewhere, Lisa Macfarlane, Natalie Ross and Hayley Cunningham all scored as Hutchison Vale draw 3-3 with Inverness City.

Hearts Ladies lost 3-2 to Stirling University after Jill Paterson netted a last-minute penalty kick to claim all three points for the students.
