Whitehill Welfare await the visit of East Kilbride to Ferguson Park tomorrow eager to return to league action after their East of Scotland Qualifying Cup tie with Preston Athletic last weekend fell foul of the weather.

Manager Micky Lawson hopes to have Willie Kidd back in contention after two months out. The defender completed a 50-minute run-out in a bounce game with Bonnyrigg Rose on Tuesday evening. Otherwise, Lawson has a full squad to choose for the match with their South Lanarkshire opponents.

Preston Athletic face a tricky encounter away to Stirling University but will be buoyed by their recent form that has seen the East Lothian club win their previous two fixtures scoring 11 goals in the process.

Goalkeeper Craig Pennycuick and midfielder Ryan Strachan will both sit out the match due to injury but manager David Bingham will be able to call upon the rest of his players available to him for their trip along the M9.

Edinburgh City, meanwhile, are in action against Borders club Gala Fairydean Rovers at Meadowbank.

Peter Stenhouse and Michael Pentland are both injured while Fraser Paterson and Nico Gibson are unavailable due to work commitments.

However, captain Dougie Gair is expected to return to the starting XI.
