Leith Athletic went three points clear at the top of The Central Taxis Premier League with a 2-0 win over Spartans EOS at Ainslie Park on Tuesday night.

The two sides will meet in
this Sunday’s Central Taxis League Cup Final at St
Mark’s Park and although
Lucasz Rusin spurned a
great chance for lively Spartans early on, Leith took the lead through a thundering drive from Keith Murray on 35 minutes for his 29th goal of the season.

Five minutes later, Neil
Lowson headed in from
a Stephen Baigan corner
with Murray and John Ferguson missing chances in the second half to extend Atheltic’s lead.

In the other fixture, Tynecastle drew one apiece with Civil Service Strollers at Fernieside, Chris Milligan on target for Tynecastle and Dayne Robertson for Civil Service.
