Linlithgow aim for Star

Have your say

Linlithgow Rose will tonight bid to bounce back from the two-pronged agony of losing the Scottish Junior Cup final and their incredible unbeaten run on Sunday, writes JOHN GILMOUR.

The Super League champions visit Newtongrange Star in the semi-final of the East of Scotland Cup just days after seeing their
49-game run come to an end at the hands of Auchinleck Talbot. Mark Bradley’s men appear to have gone off the boil since they clinched the title and the manager was angered by their performance in Sunday’s final at Livingston, insisting that his players let themselves down.

With a Fife & Lothians Cup final against Camelon still to come on Saturday, he will be desperate to return to winning ways tonight.

Newtongrange boss Alan Miller, meanwhile, will hope his side can make home advantage count as they bid to capitalise on Rose’s
apparent loss of momentum.
