Lowland League: Preston boss Jack ready for take-off

Have your say

Preston Athletic boss Colin Jack hopes last week’s 2-0 win over high-flying East Kilbride can give his team the belief to kick on in the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League, beginning with tomorrow’s trip to Vale of Leithen.

It was the Panners’ first league points since a 2-2 draw with tomorrow’s opponents back on September 9, and Jack believes his young squad has the talent to compete with anyone. “We’ve been unlucky in some games” he said. “I think we’ve got some of the best players in the league in Jack McCue, Robbie Manson, Andy Gilchrist and James Martin. We only had two players over 21 on Saturday and brought on three under 20s.”
