WAYNE McINTOSH sent Whitehill on their way to a 5-2 King Cup win over Gala Fairydean with a seventh-minute goal, rounding Dodds before slotting in from a tight angle.

With 15 minutes on the clock, Whitehill doubled their advantage when McIntosh’s cross found the unmarked Andrew Kidd to head in. On 31 minutes, Gala’s Sean Palickza was played through down the left hand side and he made no mistake with a low finish past Bryan Young to make it 2-1 at the break.

Two minutes after the restart a well worked free-kick set up McIntosh for his second. In 53 minutes, Gala again pulled themselves right back into the match as a short corner found Palickza whose cross was deflected and the ball flew into the net. Whitehill then struck the killer blow as McIntosh beat his man before crossing for Noon to head home from close range for 4-2. And on 74 minutes, Somerville slotted home to put Whitehill into the quarter-finals.
