MUSSELBURGH fought back to claim a 1-1 draw in their Super League clash at Tayport.

The home side took the lead after ten minutes when Mattie Adam took advantage of slack defensive play to shoot low past goalkeeper Ally Adams from 18 yards. Five minutes later, they nearly doubled the lead but Adam’s shot went straight at the keeper.

With five minutes remaining of the first half, Musselburgh levelled the match following good play down the right. The ball was crossed into the box and Michael McKenna met it first time to curl it over the head of the keeper from 12 yards. Ten minutes after the restart, Musselburgh keeper Adams did well to block a shot from Mattie Adam when he was clean through and, at the other end, the home keeper Sam Morris produced a stunning save to turn a goal-bound shot from Connor Thomson around the post. Tayport then had Barry Donnachie sent off after he received his second yellow card for dissent and the home side were aggrieved when, ten minutes later, keeper Adams handled the ball outside of the area but he was given just a yellow card.
