Newtongrange Star boss Alan Miller insists it would take a “major collapse” for Super League leaders Kelty Hearts to not end the season as champions.

Joint-second Nitten host the league leaders tomorrow afternoon, with a 16-point gap separating the two clubs, although Star have six games in hand over the Fife outfit.

Miller, whose side beat St Andrews 1-0 in the third round of the Fife and Lothians Cup last weekend, said: “We’re in a position where we can only go two points ahead of them if we win our games in hand, but we’d have to win all six.”

He added: “It’s a tall order for us, but that doesn’t mean to say we won’t be trying – we’ll be giving it our best shot.”

Star are without suspended striker Kris Renton, although Chris King is expected to be fit.
