AARON MURRELL scored four as Spartans progressed into the second round of the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup with a convincing 7-0 win over East of Scotland side Burntisland Shipyard at Ainslie Park.
The Lowland League outfit got off to a flying start when David Greenhill slotted home from close range with just 46 seconds on the clock.
Worse was to follow for the Fifers when Murrell executed a fine turn and shot at the edge of the box past Jordan Mushet to extend Spartans lead.
It was the Murrell show in the second half as the teenager found the net a further three times, including one from the spot whilst the unfortunate Mushet punched Eddie Malone’s corner into his own net and Keith Murray scored with a header as Spartans cruised into the next round.
