Edinburgh City manager Gary Jardine hopes striker Ouzy See can continue his goalscoring run away to Dalbeattie Star tomorrow after netting the winner in last week’s Edinburgh derby with Spartans.

See headed the only goal ten minutes from time for the ten-man champions and Jardine hopes he can replicate his mature performance tomorrow.

“I never brought him in for us to throw the ball up to him,” he said. “That’s not the way we want to play the game but it’s certainly handy. He deserved his goal last week for his work rate and came in for a bit of rough treatment. Maybe the Ouzy of old might have lashed out but he kept cool and knew his time would come. When the ball’s in the box he’s always a danger.”

See’s strike partner Ross Allum through suspension is suspended after his dismissal in the second half last Saturday.

Whitehill Welfare can strengthen their grip on third place in the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League wth a win away at Stirling University, with nearest rivals Spartans on South Challenge Cup first-round duty away to Peebles Rovers. Edinburgh University travel to Eyemouth United in the same competition.
