Penicuik stay in the hunt

Have your say

PENICUIK kept up the pressure on their Premier League promotion rivals by winning 3-2 at Glenrothes last night.

The win came via a Chris Roxburgh double and a strike from Sean Paterson. Penicuik host bottom side Broughty Athletic in their final match on Saturday hoping Armadale and Bathgate – both a point better off – slip up in their last matches. In the South Division,
Livingston United claimed a place in the Premier League next season with a battling 4-3 win at home to Whitburn.

Brian Jaconelli, Livingston’s star striker this season, claimed a hat-trick as Andy Johnstone’s side finally got over the line in their last league game of the season.

Tranent won 3-1 at Harthill, while Pumpherston kept up their challenge for promotion
with a 3-1 win at home to
Edinburgh United.
