Preston frustrated East Kilbride for the second time in a matter of weeks earning a deserved 1-1 draw at K-Park.
The home side started strongly and an early break saw Preston’s Ryan McSherry booked for pulling back Jack Smith. From the resultant free-kick, Chris Flockhart saved well from Sean Winter before two tremendous blocks denied the home side.
Kilby took the lead just short of the half hour as Craig Hastings got on the end of a cross-field pass which caught out the Preston defence and the winger rounded Flockhart to tap home.
Preston made a double substitution at half-time putting Gary Nicholson and David Porcher up front and the two combined on 65 minutes, Nicholson did well to work an opening and shot across Matthew McGinley who only managed to palm the ball into the air, Porcher was sharpest to react to prod the ball home from six yards for the leveller.
