Ten-Man Preston lost at home for the second week running but the scoreline, in truth, flattered the visitors.

The game started with a clash of heads between Preston’s Kevin Morrison and Robbie Manson, the latter coming off worst with a nasty cut forcing an early change and a trip to A&E for the midfielder.

Preston created the early chances but it was BSC who took the lead with a well-worked set piece as a corner found Stephen Bronsky who buried a diving header into the net. Incredibly two BSC players also clashed heads, captain David Gray helped off the park with a massive bump and away to A&E to sit beside Manson in the waiting room.

Preston’s David Porcher set up Jamie Beaton whose shot was well saved by Joe Wilton, then Liam Todd sent in a cross to Gary Nicholson who connected well but Wilton pulled off another great save. In the closing minutes, Preston goalkeeper Chris Flockhart received the third head knock of the half but was able to continue.

Preston pushed for the equaliser, Andy Gilchrist and Jamie Beaton again forcing Wilton into action. Then Todd sent over a right-wing cross that deceived Wilton but hit the bar and out to safety.

BSC doubled the lead with 20 minutes left. Evans Lamboh’s tremendous strike from the edge of the box flying home then Beaton then saw red for a frustrated kick out at Lamboh.

Two late goals – Aiden Ferris scoring after a defensive mix up and Ciaran Johnston’s lob, put gloss on the scoreline.
