EDINBURGH CITY made it three wins out of three as striker Ross Allum gave them full points against Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood.
Colts, with the wind behind them, took the lead in 15 minutes when Stephen O’Neill raced up the left touchline, beat his marker and netted from an acute angle.
With the home side having more of the play, City’s goal in 38 minutes came as a surprise, Allum beating the offside trap to run onto a defence-splitting pass from McKee to stab the ball past the goalkeeper.
City continued to press in the second half, Cumbernauld’s keeper making a fine fingertip save to block McKee’s header. McFarland hit the bar on 69 minutes but City had to rely on some superb tackling to prevent Colts taking the lead.
However, City snatched a winner in the last minute after Kirwan failed to trap a long diagonal pass from Gair, and Allum seized the loose ball to knock the ball into the net, putting City two points clear at the top of the table.
