Edinburgh City will make the 400-mile round trip tomorrow to tackle Golspie Sutherland of the North Caledonian Football League in the Scottish Cup first round.
The team bus will leave the club’s home ground of Meadowbank at 7.30am to allow sufficient time for the players to stretch their legs after the arduous journey to the north.
Manager Gary Jardine said: “The bus journey home is going to either be a really lively one or four or five hours that feels like eight or ten.
“We played Wick a few years ago so we know what it’s like. But we’ll stop for lunch and get up there in plenty of time to prepare the guys.”
