Civil Service Strollers boss Andy Raeburn is in relaxed mood ahead of tomorrow’s north Edinburgh derby at Craigroyston, despite his team suffering a hefty defeat in their last outing.
Raeburn’s men endured an 8-0 humbling on home turf at the hands of Lowland League side University of Stirling in the South Challenge Cup last weekend but the Strollers supremo has urged his charges to ‘get on with it’ as they bid to achieve some consistency after a rollercoaster start to the campaign.
Tomorrow’s Premier Division contest with Craigie at St Mark’s Park presents Strollers with the opportunity to climb level on points with Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in fifth place but Raeburn said: “We’ll just take each game as it comes and get on with it.”
Craigroyston could, with victory, pull clear into second place ahead of Tynecastle, who face an away match at Heriot-Watt University.
Edinburgh University will also have their sights on second place when they travel to face Spartans. Dorian Ogunro, whose Uni team lost 3-0 to First Division Easthouses Lily last weekend, said: “We have trained well this week, but it’s all about scoring goals and winning matches.”
