Dave McQueenie hailed the impact of substitute Euan Smith as Easthouses Lily beat Burntisland Shipyard 7-2 to move clear in second place in the East of Scotland First Division.

Goals by Ally Elliot, Rory McKinnon and Paul McDermott put Lily 3-0 up by half-time, but Burntisland battled back with goals by Grant Blyth and Renato Sartarello. Campbell and Brown each scored twice to stretch the visitors’ lead.

Lily boss McQueenie said: “Euan Smith came on just after their second goal and brought the game back under our control with two delightful crosses for Steven Campbell’s goals.”

Scott Wright scored Ormiston’s last-minute winner in a 2-1 victory at Berwick Rangers Reserves, while Hibs remain nine points clear after Jason Cummings struck four times in a 6-0 win at home to Peebles Rovers.

Kelso United beat Eyemouth United 4-2.
