Spartans have made their fourth summer transfer after former Leith Athletic striker Keith Murray signed on at Ainslie Park.
The former Hibs youth player netted more than 30 goals for the East of Scotland Premier Division side last season and will line up alongside fellow recruits David Greenhill, Scott Maxwell and Dan Ward in red and white this term.
Manager Dougie Samuel believes the front man can further develop after joining the North Edinburgh club. “Keith is an exciting young talent, a player we have been tracking for 12 months,” he revealed.
“We faced stiff competition from a number of other clubs keen to sign Keith, so naturally I’m delighted that he has chosen to come on board and be a part of our journey.
“I’m looking forward to working him, to watching him continue to develop and grow as a player. We know next season will be a huge challenge, for me Keith fits the bill in terms of the type of player we need.
“He’s a player with real potential, has an excellent work ethic and is fuelled by a real desire and hunger to prove himself at a higher level and do well.”
