Spartans moved six points clear at the top of the Lowland League last night after a 3-1 win over ten-man Threave Rovers at Meadow Park.

The Ainslie Park side had to come from behind to claim the points after the hosts took the lead through Dean Fyfe.

Chris Anderson pulled Spartans level four minutes later and the game swung in the visitors’ favour five minutes before the break when Threave’s Greig Goodwin was sent off.

The Capital outfit made the most of their numerical advantage in the second half, with Willie Bremner and Kevin Motion both on target.
