Ormiston and Heriot-Watt University clash at Recreation Park tomorrow in the Central Taxis First Division as the two sides meet for the third time this season.
Heriot-Watt were the victors the last time the two sides met at the start of last month with the students racing into a 4-0 lead before the interval, with a second-half fight back from Ormiston not enough to prevent a 4-2 defeat.
Since then, both sides have had to contend with participation in cup competitions with Heriot-Watt defeating Premier League outfit Civil Service Strollers in the quarter-finals of the Image Printers Cup before falling at home to Leith Athletic last weekend, a defeat which ended a seven-match unbeaten run. Ormiston, meanwhile, came close against Whitehill Welfare in the second round of the South Region Challenge Cup, but came undone against Mike Lawson’s men with a 2-1 defeat following two previous postponements.
Brian Johnstone’s side did, however, return to winning ways last weekend against Burntisland Shipyard in a 2-1 victory at Recreation Park.
Both sides have full squads to choose from for tomorrow’s match which, weather permitting, is scheduled for a 1.30pm kick-off.
