Whitehill Welfare face Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in the Image Printers Cup tomorrow and manager Mickey Lawson doesn’t expect Lothian’s approach to change despite the departure of boss Kevin Twaddle.

Twaddle resigned last month and was replaced by Raymond Carr. Lawson said: “With Fraser Ogilvie helping Raymond Carr out the team and their set up won’t have changed much from what I saw a few weeks back,” he said. “Lothian turned us over big style in pre-season so there will be no complacency on our part”

Lawson spoke about how suspensions were beginning to have an adverse effect on his squad earlier in the week, and he is without another two players for tomorrow. John Hall and Wayne Sproule will miss the tie after both received straight reds against Edusport Academy last weekend. Willie Kidd, sent off at Preston Athletic a fortnight ago, is available because his suspension is for the league only.

Spartans travel to Striling University for their first competitive fixture since the end of February.
