Three first half goals saw off Vale of Leithen on Saturday.
Wayne McIntosh came close to an opener for the visitors on 15 minutes shooting over, however, their early dominance wasn’t long in paying off. Aaron Somerville made good ground down the right, found Steven Manson who crossed for McIntosh to head past Mark Wilson and into the net.
Two minutes later McIntosh scored again as Darren McGlashan crossed and he again headed home. On the half-hour mark the forward was inches away from a headed hat-trick as he saw his effort from a McGlashan free-kick come back off the crossbar, however, it fell to John Hall to make no mistake for 3-0.
After the break, Kenny O’Brien managed to trouble Bryan Young in the visiting goal however he saved well and at the other end Dodds had a shout for a penalty as he went down in the box when one-on-one with Wilson.
McGlashan saw an effort deflected just wide and on 71 minutes Manson’s strike bounced down off the underside of the crossbar but it was not ruled a goal.He then set up Somerville who saw his shot blocked on the line and there was no further scoring.
