No Junior Cup hangover for Bo’ness

After the disappointment of their Scottish Junior Cup exit last week, Bo’ness United bounced back to keep their Super league aspirations on track.

Bo’ness made the breakthrough after 22 minutes when Camelon defender Bryan Bell failed to cut out a Kevin Watt pass across the box and Chris Donnelly slotted a low shot past keeper Myles Hogarth.

Bo’ness keeper Scott Christie pulled off a fantastic reaction save to keep out an Andy McGown overhead kick and Bo’ness increased their lead in 34 minutes. Grant Plenderleith sent Watt down the left and his cross found Nicky Walker who sidefooted the ball home.

Although Martin McCafferty’s near-post shot early in the second half brought out a good saves by Scott Christie, Bo’ness held on.
