Packed stands set to boost Hibs' bid for second spot

Hibs will benefit from having a bumper support in the last three games of their bid to finish second in the Premiership.

The Easter Road club have already sold their entire allocation for the upcoming away matches against Aberdeen and Hearts, while the home match with Rangers on the last day of the campaign is also set to sell out.

Former player Craig Paterson views this scenario as a clear sign of the reconnection between the club and its supporters in recent years, and believes such backing could help Neil Lennon’s team in their quest to finish second for the first time since 1975.

“The Hibs fans have got real faith in this team and in their manager and they’ve shown that by turning out in their numbers,” said Paterson.

“Hibs will need every edge they can get on Saturday, and having that away section of Pittodrie packed with green and white is certainly a plus for the players.”
