Preston remain at the peak

Preston soon took full control of the first half, taking the lead through a trialist in the tenth minute. In the 32nd minute, a Wilson free-kick released McGlashan whose cross found Keenan. His shot was deflected onto the corner of the woodwork by the keeper.

Frazer Henderson eventually fired Preston into a two-goal lead in the 35th minute, and added a third from the penalty spot with the very last kick of the half.

Duns looked a different outfit after the restart. Des Chisholm put James Brydon clean through to pull a goal back in the 50th minute, and seven minutes later the deficit was reduced to one with Douglas Brydon heading in an inswinging corner.

The match could have gone either way in the final 20 minutes, and it wasn’t until the 86th minute when the Panners finally made sure of the win.
