Gers keeping level heads

Rangers first-team coach Ian Durrant insists the champions are taking nothing for granted in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title race as they bid to notch up a tenth successive league win this weekend.

Ally McCoist’s side sit ten points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic and nine ahead of second-placed Motherwell following an impressive run of results. But Durrant is well aware of just how quickly fortunes can be transformed in football as Rangers prepare to host St Mirren tomorrow.

He said: “Week to week it can change. Anything can happen in football. What we did two weeks ago counts for nothing. We just have to go game by game. The application of the boys up until now has been second to none. We know we will have a tough game against St Mirren. Danny Lennon has got them going well and they are playing attractive football.”
