Livingston were today drawn away to League One side Peterhead in the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup while Linlithgow Rose – conquerors of Inverness Clach in the last round – also face a long journey north to take on either Nairn County or Wick Academy.

The draw threw up one all-Championship tie, basement outfit Alloa Athletic away to Dumbarton, while Dunfermline will anticipate a tricky tie against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
