Shiels ready to be Killie-joy

Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels admits he will adapt his side’s normal free-flowing style to deal with the threat posed by champions and league leaders Rangers – but he still wants his players to pass their way to success at Ibrox.

Killie have conceded nine goals in four Clydesdale Bank Premier League games ahead of their clash in Govan tonight. Shiels will look to tighten up his side against Rangers but he will also ask his players to express themselves as they look to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat at St Mirren Park on Saturday.

The Northern Irishman said: “We have adaptations. When you’re playing the best, you have to adapt how you’re playing. We’re no different.”
