Hibs may be arriving at Tynecastle on a high following their 4-0 destruction of Rangers last weekend, but runaway Championship leaders Hearts are the clear favourites to win this weekend’s Edinburgh derby.

The Jambos are a shade odds-on at 20/21 to make it eight consecutive victories in tomorrow’s lunchtime clash, while Hibs are 11/4 to make it four wins on the spin. The draw is 5/2.

James Keatings is Hearts’ most obvious goal threat and is now the 5/2 favourite to finish top scorer in the Championship after netting the first goal in each of his last four games. The former Celtic and Hamilton striker is 4/1 to score first for the fifth game in succession and is 6/5 to score anytime.

Alim Ozturk was the Tynecastle side’s hero in the last Edinburgh derby when his stoppage-time thunderbolt salvaged a point at Easter Road in October, and the centre-half is 20/1 to score first or 7/1 to score anytime tomorrow.

Hibs’ top scorer Dominique Malonga, with 11 goals to his name this season, can be backed at 7/1 to score first. After going through his whole career without scoring a goal, David Gray now has three for the season. The right-back is the 60/1 outsider to score first at Tynecastle and is 20/1 to score anytime.

Both teams have scored in each of the last three Edinburgh derbies, and it is 4/6 for that to trend to continue tomorrow. A 2-1 win for Hearts is 17/2, while a 2-1 win for Hibs is 13/1.

In the last 12 games between the sides, no team has scored more than two goals so a big defeat appears unlikely. However, for anyone who fancies a wide-margin victory, it is 40/1 for Hearts – who have hit at least four goals in five of their nine home games this season – to win 4-0, and 150/1 for Hibs to win by that scoreline for the second game running.

Hearts, 15 points clear at the top of the Championship, are now the shortest-priced team in Britain to win their respective league, with offering 1/33. Second-place Rangers are out to 12/1, with Hibs, four points further back, available at 25/1. has a special enhanced price for new customers and are offering an whopping 2/1 on Hearts simply scoring tomorrow – something they have done in 17 of their 18 league games so far.
