Spartans EOS into League Cup Final after defeating Tynecastle

Spartans EOS booked their place in this month's League Cup final with a 3-0 victory over Tynecastle at Ainslie Park last night.

Blustery conditions made life difficult for both sets of players but it was the home side who adapted best despite a spirited Tynecastle performance.

Sean Stewart netted the opener after 27 minutes for Spartans after being set free by Chris Anderson and the latter added a second just two minutes later.

It took until the final minute, however, for Colin Tomassi’s men to seal the tie when Blair Atkinson drilled into the corner.

Spartans will now play Leith Athletic in this season’s final on Sunday, April 24.
