Robbie Horn’s men, who hold an eight-point lead at the league summit, now just need three victories from their remaining five league games to secure their first title since season 2011-12.

Third-place Linlithgow looked set to claw back Bonnyrigg’s lead at the top after a first-half effort from striker Kevin Kelbie and an early goal after the interval through Blair Bacthelor put them in control.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors as left-back Ruaridh Donaldson saw red, but Bonnyrigg displayed their immense resilience which has been evident for the entire campaign as they pulled a goal back through Kieran McGachie after 72 minutes. Defender Kerr Young completed the comeback as he scrambled home the equaliser in added on time.

Arniston Rangers, meanwhile, lifted themselves up to seventh place in the Premier League with a 3-2 success away to Bathgate Thistle.
