Tynie keep Uni at bay to claim points

Tynecastle took the lead in the 20th minute when Jordan Caddow pinged in a powerful cross. The ball was spilled by Mark Tait in the Uni goals and landed at the feet of Jamie Butler who had the simple task of prodding the ball in the net.

Butler almost got his second of the game with a powerful strike from long range but this time Tait pushed the ball over the bar.

Uni had most of the play in the second half and almost levelled when Jack Beacher turned his defender in the box but his effort from close range hit the woodwork before the danger was cleared. Beacher had another terrific chance at the front post but John Gibertson produced a terrific save.

Callum Murray was next to try and score and when it looked like the ball was crossing the line Jamie Speed made a superb saving challenge to clear the ball of the line and Tynecastle held on.
