Vale suffer cruel defeat with last kick

Hutchison Vale coach Ian McDonald admits he got the performance, although not the result, that he craved as his side lost a seven-goal thriller against Rangers at Petershill Park.

Goals by Michelle Russell, Katherine Smart and Jamie Torrance saw Hutchie lead 3-2 going into the last 10 minutes, only for the home side to level and then Suzanne MacTaggart snatched victory for the ’Gers with the final kick of the ball.

“To lead going into the final minutes of the game and then lose the way we did was devastating,” commented McDonald.
