Yogi eager to sort Livi’s home form

County need to only better Dundee’s result at home to Falkirk at Dens Park to secure the title, but with the Lions on a roll after 5-2 and 3-2 wins away to Falkirk and Partick Thistle respectively, Yogi is keen to see his charges do the business on home turf.

He said: “We seem to be a better team away from home at this moment in time and that’s causing us some concern.

“This is our home patch, we want to win our home games and we want teams to come here and for us to be really at them. That has not been the case, but hopefully we can try and do that starting this week.

“I was absolutely delighted with the recent results, but we want to be able to control the football and keep possession as well as we did against Falkirk – and get goals on the back of it – every week, for every 90 minutes. That makes people believe in what we’re doing.”

After suffering three back-to-back losses in West Lothian, Hughes knows Livi face a huge challenge in stopping a County juggernaut that has stormed to 28 league matches unbeaten.

“I hope it’s not on Saturday that it’s confirmed, and we’re going out to try and spoil the party, but they deserve this,” he added. “They have the most points on the board and they’ve been the most consistent team in the league.”

Hughes is also delighted with the progress his side have made in his short time he and John Collins have been in charge of the club so far.

He said: “Nothing changes from the day me and John came into the club in terms of the culture and style of football we want to play. I think you can see that already; when we’re at it, we’re really at it and score great goals, play great football and we’re hard to contain.

“Our frustration is that we want that every week. That’s the culture we’re trying to breed.”
