Fox picks up golfer's ball on green in Summer League tie
Sandy Robert was involved in a ding-dong battle with Kevin Cattanach at the Juniper Green course when the pair were stunned by a strange event at the 14th green.
“After Sandy had put his tee shot in the front bunker, a fox appeared from nowhere, took the ball and ran across the course into the bushes,” reported Baberton team manager Jim Downie.

Hide AdRobert went on to lose on the last as the home team had to settle for a 4-4 draw against opponents who have already secured top spot in Section B.
Baberton are sitting second, two points ahead of Mortonhall, who went down 5-3 at West Linton in their latest outing.
Turnhouse are one win away from completing Section A with an impressive 100 per cent record, having shown no signs of letting up even with top spot in the bag. They won their last two matches 8-0 over Glencorse and Merchants respectively.
Merchants also crashed to the same result at Royal Musselburgh, who now need to win away at Glencorse in their final game to have a chance of pipping Royal Burgess for second spot in that group.

Hide AdRatho Park have all but secured top spot in Section C, where Duddingston, who made home advantage count against Murrayfield, are battling out with Craigmillar Park for second place.
Longniddry, who beat Murrayfield 5.5-2.5 in East Lothian, look to have clinched a home quarter-final, with Duddingston favourites to progress with them from Section D.
It follows last year’s beaten finalists beating Silverknowes 7-1, led by two strong performances from David Miller and Conor Scott.
