Golf: Allyn heads west for East

KINGSKNOWE’S Allyn Dick returns to a happy hunting ground next week hoping to help the East Alliance golfers make a successful defence of the Uniroyal Trophy against their West counterparts.

The annual match is being played at Lanark, where former Lothians champion Dick has won the Newlands Trophy, an SGU Order of Merit event, for the last two years.

Among those teaming up with Dick on Monday are Chris Morris, the Kingsknowe pro, and his predecessor at the Capital club, Andy Marshall.
