Golf: Eddy days for Robertson

SILVERKNOWES star Graham Robertson chalked up the biggest win of his career by landing the Edward Trophy at Glasgow Gailes.

Last year’s Lothians Order of Merit winner fired rounds of 72, 71, 71 and 67 to claim the final SGU Order of Merit event of the season by two shots.

His closest challenger on the Ayrshire coast was former Amateur champion Craig Watson (East Renfrewshire), with Fifer Peter Latimer (St Andrews New) a shot further back in third.

Robertson is the third Lothians player to win an SGU Order of Merit event this year, following in the footsteps of Zander Culverwell (Battle Trophy) and Allyn Dick (Newlands Trophy).
