Golf: It’s Turner’s prize to lose

CRAIGIELAW’S Jane Turner is the top seed for the Midlothian Women’s Championship starting tomorrow at Broomieknowe after firing a pair of 73s to win the qaulifier at the Bonnyrigg course.

Other qualifiers included the host-club hopes Hannah Scott, who finished a shot behind Turner, Kate McIntosh and Wendy Nicholson.

Usual suspects to make it through to the event included multiple winner Claire Hargan as well as Karen Marshall, Rachael Livingstone and Linda Caine.
