Golf: Kingsknowe set for Inter Club title defence

HOLDERS Kingsknowe tee off their defence of the Edinburgh Ladies Inter Club title at Ratho Park tomorrow against Prestonfield.

The event has been extended to four days for the first time this year so as to avoid matches being completed in the dark.

That means it starts today, when the host club are first on the tee against Merchants.

Broomieknowe, last year’s beaten finalists, are in the same half of the draw as Kingsknowe this time around and face Prestonfield in their opening tie tomorrow.

Today: 4pm Ratho Park v Merchants; 4.20pm Murrayfield v Glencorse; 4.40pm Lothianburn v Musselburgh; 5pm Kingsknowe v Newbattle.

Tomorrow: 4pm Liberton v Craigmillar Park; 4.20pm Royal Musselburgh v Dalmahoy; 4.40pm Broomieknowe v Prestonfield; 5pm Turnhouse v Baberton.
