Golf: Stricken star to dig deep

SCOTT McINTYRE, who has terminal cancer, is playing four rounds in one day at Dalmahoy later this month to raise money for the Beatson Cancer Care Unit in Glasgow.

He will be joined by two friends, Ian Dickson and John Nolan, with the fourth spot in each of the rounds up for auction.

“The Beatson is currently treating Scott in his battle against cancer and to date we have managed to raise just over £3,000,” said Dickson, who can be contacted at [email protected].
