LEITH Customs Excise & Revenue Golf Club is hoping to mark a milestone by returning to its roots.

The club’s Championship Trophy was first played for on September 22, 1913 at Craigentinny and plans are in the pipeline to return there on the same date this year.

“We are one of the oldest Civil Service sports clubs as the Leith Customs club was founded in 1905,” said long-serving treasurer/secretary Peter Lowe.
